CONCLUSION

---- To write a piece about all I learned could be summed in this Love and love much. ----- I have been greatly chalanged by this class and for that I am grateful. Many of my views have matured and grown. My intellect has been engaged to think and discern, to feel and to sympathize. I hope my understanding of people and their need for understanding can be one drop in the bucket of goodness that makes this planet a place worth living in. To all who read this, enjoy them and engage with the ideas presented therein. Don't agree with me, make sense and make your own ideas. You'll be better off for it.

He decided to knock at a door in a neighborhood and ask for directions. Seconds later he was met with a shotgun. As he fled shots were fired. All of this was captured on the owner's security camera footage. It also captured the ninth grade boys race; African American. The man was convicted of a felony charge and faces up to 12 years in prison. The residence fabricated a story about the boy trying to get inside the house but the footage does not back thi up. The residence has been broken into five times in the last ten years and therefore they are on edge. Nothing makes excuse for this, however. (brief – do not tell the entire story) Research at Yale found that discriminating against people because of their age is very costly for medical systems. To the tune of  $63 billion over the course of one year in the United States. The study was conducted with many aims but one of which was a way of gaining more people on the bandwagon to abolish age discrimination. The business-minded people are always interested in knowing the cost of the situation. How $63 billion was arrived at was skimmed over them but the short and skinny is that they added the cost of 1.  negative age stereotypes and 2. negative self-perception of aging with the h ealth care spending data for the eight most expensive health care conditions among Americans 60 years or older. (brief – do not tell the entire story) The article shared about a study that was recently completed regarding American's views on gender equality in the workplace and in private life. The article found that the 4 past generation shave progressively gotten more and more equal. Melinials are the most equal but there was surprise by the researchers. A small percentage of menials said that women were more equal at home than at work. They gave reasons for this such as the fact that many Gen-Yers started their careers right around the recession and this caused many of them to send the male out to be the breadwinner. (brief – do not tell the entire story) The article tells the story of  Mario Seguro-Suarez, who in 2003, fell almost twenty feet and landed on his head while working. This Accident put him in the hospital, in a coma with a respirator. After filing for workers comp, he was tested and found to not be mentally able to dress, bath, or feed himself. The doctors said he needed 24-hour care. The insurance company, Key Risk, declined to pay the benefits and set up free care with his immigrant daughter and sent less than $350 per week to cover some of the pay would no longer be receiving. Terrible underfunded and legal but they got away with it for some time before they(Key Risk) proceeded to take him to court and say they would no longer pay benefits. (brief – do not tell the entire story) CNBC's article by Annie Nova is a brief exposition on the terror that the Federal Loan Forgiveness program turned out to be for many, many people. The program that was enacted in 2007 was designed to forgive the loans of those who served in the public capacity for ten years and made one hundred and twenty on-time payments toward their loan. in 2017 the first patch of people who thought they qualified applied. The shocker came when only 96 of the 30,000+ people that applied had their loan forgiven. The article went on to share the experience of two people's loans were not forgiven. One story is of an authored professor and the other of a librarian. The professor found out that his payments and time were invalid because of the payment schedule he had been on. It praises the event stating that it was one of the most diverse seasons to ever take place with nearly all the catwalks having a wide array of races and nationalities present; not simply a springingly to keep the crowd happy. However, the writer points out that though the  models were diverse, those in power were not. The large majority of those who finance the show, the editors, the retails, and those who have the power to make decisions were not. No data is given to support this claim but there are a few stories about the few people of color who hold higher up positions in the industry.
